About the Role

A well-established organization in the heavy equipment industry is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accountant for a 14-month term contract based in Langley, British Columbia. This is a full-cycle accounting role within a collaborative finance team, offering the opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growth-focused environment. Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:

  • Preparing and analyzing monthly income statements and balance sheets across multiple entities in Canada and the US
  • Generating daily and monthly KPI reports, and supporting quarterly and year-end working papers
  • Performing account reconciliations and month-end adjusting journal entries
  • Managing cheque, ACH, and wire transfers
  • Classifying, coding, and summarizing financial data into accurate records
  • Preparing provincial and state tax filings
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues within the ERP system
  • Supervising and mentoring junior accountants and administrative staff

Requirements

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • CPA designation
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally within a mid-to-large organization
  • Proficiency with Sage 100 or similar ERP systems
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • A self-directed approach with the ability to work independently
