  • Maintain supporting documentation for audits.

Responsibilities
  • Gatekeeper of the General Ledger – ensure the GL is perfect, including coding, posting, journal entries, and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
  • Supervisory Accounts Payable – oversee the AP clerk, ensuring accurate processing and vendor response.
  • Payroll & HR Administration – manage payroll for ~180 employees across two locations using ADP Workforce Now, approving timecards, preparing contracts, and onboarding.
  • The "Juggling Act" – handle ad‑hoc requests from owners without getting flustered.
  • Cash Management – assist with internal fund handling and daily cash deposit reconciliation.
  • Process Improvement – maintain a systematic filing system and trail of supporting documentation for audit and reporting.
Qualifications
  • Strong background in full‑cycle accounting; CPA (or equivalent) highly preferred.
  • Unflappable and organized, able to manage shifting priorities.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, ADP Workforce Now, Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Systematic task management and desk organization skills.
