Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to lead our full financial close and reporting cycle across multiple business units. In this role, you will ensure strict adherence to IFRS/GAAP, act as a key financial steward, and provide insights that drive high-impact decision-making. You will strengthen internal controls, optimize processes, and play an essential role in guiding the accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who is both technically strong and eager to contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the monthly and quarterly financial close process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with IFRS/GAAP.

Implement, monitor, and enhance accounting policies and internal control procedures.

Perform detailed account reconciliations; identify, assess, and communicate financial risks; resolve discrepancies in partnership with cross-functional teams.

Provide technical accounting guidance and manage all internal and external audit documentation and support.

Drive improvements in accounting processes, systems, and reporting methods to elevate efficiency and reliability.

Mentor and support junior accounting team members to strengthen department capability and performance.

What You Must Have

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation required (candidates currently pursuing may be considered).

Minimum 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Expert knowledge of IFRS/GAAP, financial controls, and financial reporting standards.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with advanced expertise in cost, inventory, and labor accounting.
