Are you a natural “hunter” who enjoys challenging customers to think differently about their procurement and supply chain technology? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment where collaboration, ability to deal with ambiguity, and a desire to roll up your sleeves is critical?

Come be a part of a rapidly expanding $35 billion-dollar global business. With the launch of Amazon Business in Canada, we are expanding our sales team to make buying even easier for organizations and businesses across all sectors. Bring your insight, imagination and a healthy disregard for the impossible. At Amazon Business, we set out every day to innovate and disrupt the status quo. We stand at the intersection of tech and retail in the B2B space, developing innovative purchasing and procurement solutions to help reimagine buying.

Primary areas of responsibility include prospecting, creating personalized solutions for customers, and developing relationships with buying decision makers across functional areas--such as Information Technology, Facilities, and more.
  • Ensure that recommended solutions meet customers’ procurement needs and will recommend approaches and alternatives that fit their environment, including: public sector contracting and procurement requirements; eProcurement integration; advance payments; and automated reconciliation processes. They work closely with customers to manage deployment and ensure that our solutions are successfully adopted.
  • Ideal candidates will have relevant consultative sales experience and a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals and revenue targets.
  • Key job responsibilities include: prospecting and lead generation across public sector organizations with key C-level executives, inclusive of Finance and Procurement; relaying market needs, customer feedback, and requirements back to internal Amazon teams, including Product, Technical, and Category Management teams; working with sales leadership to provide updates on key deals in the pipeline and insights learned during implementation and throughout the customer journey; educating and networking with key prospect and customer contacts.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of B2B or enterprise sales with a focus on hunting new business experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Experience identifying and pursuing a large number of accounts over the phone, with ability to close in person
  • Experience positioning and selling innovative solutions to new and existing customers and market segments
  • Knowledge of procurement and source-to-pay processes and solutions or equivalent experience
  • Experience identifying trends and needs to improve an already closed large-scale technology deal
