Sales Associate (Newfoundland & Labrador)

The Role
As a Sales Associate (Newfoundland & Labrador) at Final, you’ll be our boots-on-the-ground champion for small and mid-sized merchants across the province. You’ll spend your time out in the community—meeting owners, understanding how their businesses run, and showing them how Final POS can make checkout faster, smoother, and more flexible than anything they’ve used before.
This role is perfect for someone who loves local business, is energized by face-to-face selling, and gets genuinely excited about modern SaaS and great product experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Build relationships with local merchants across Newfoundland & Labrador through in-person visits, calls, events, and referrals.
- Understand each merchant’s workflow (retail, café, restaurant, service, etc.) and recommend the best Final POS setup for their needs.
- Demonstrate Final POS—highlighting its flexibility, customizable checkout flows, and ability to adapt to different store environments.
- Own the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, demos, proposals, closing, and handoff to onboarding/support.
- Maintain a strong pipeline and accurate reporting using our CRM and internal tools.
- Partner closely with Product, Support, and Marketing to share merchant feedback, identify trends, and improve our go-to-market approach.
- Represent Final in the community—at local business events, chambers, and industry meetups—helping build trust and brand presence.
What You Bring
- Previous experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer success (SaaS or tech is a big plus).
- Comfort with outbound sales: walking into shops, starting conversations, and following up consistently.
- Strong communication skills—you can explain tech clearly, without being “too techy.”
- A consultative mindset: you ask great questions, listen closely, and recommend what’s best (not just what’s easiest).
- Excellent organization and time management—able to manage a territory, travel, and a busy pipeline.
- Passion for Newfoundland & Labrador’s business community and a genuine desire to help local merchants win.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across the province as needed.
Bonus Points
- Experience selling POS, payments, payroll, e-commerce, or other merchant tools.
- Existing relationships with local merchants, business networks, or community orgs.
- Startup experience or comfort in a fast-moving environment where you help shape the playbook.
- Experience running a small business (or working closely with owners/operators).
- You’re the kind of person who’s proactive, resourceful, and not afraid to knock on a door.
