Overview

We are seeking an experienced (Senior level) Safety/EHS Manager with strong experience in manufacturing to lead safety and environmental programs that exceed compliance standards and promote a strong safety culture in a fast-paced industrial setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies and programs aligned with WorkSafeBC and federal safety regulations
  • Lead a team of direct reports
  • Lead the Joint Health and Safety Committee and oversee claims, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Manage emergency response, fire safety, and environmental compliance programs
  • Conduct safety audits, deliver training, and maintain EHS documentation and reporting
  • Serve as primary contact for regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with provincial and federal requirements
  • Identify opportunities for waste reduction, energy efficiency, and sustainability initiatives
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in EHS compliance within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of WorkSafeBC, the Workers Compensation Act, and Canadian safety legislation
