A consulting firm is seeking an experienced S/4HANA Migration Architect to lead a cloud-based transformation. Key responsibilities include advising on strategy, executing migration plans, and providing thought leadership. Candidates should have 10+ years of experience in large-scale migrations, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft tools. This role is critical for ensuring a smooth transition without business disruptions.
Our client is launching a 2–2.5 year SAP ECC ? S/4HANA modernization. The S/4HANA Migration Architect will provide leadership across design, migration strategy, testing readiness, and stakeholder alignment to ensure a smooth transition to a cloud-based S/4HANA environment with no disruption to business operations.
Advise on strategy, approach, and risks for the ECC toS/4HANA migration across Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, HCM, and Facilities.
Partner with IT and third-party vendors to design and execute the migration plan; review solution designs, migration waves, and program plans to identify gaps and optimizations.
Provide thought leadership and coach program team members; promote transparent, problem-solving culture.
Guide/validate test plans & test cases leveraged during S/4HANA testing (incl. integration/UAT).
Facilitate communication across stakeholders and technology partners; identify & mitigate risks.
Support RFPs, business cases, OCM activities; prepare executive-ready documents, reports, and presentations.
Analyze complex problems and develop integrated, innovative solutions aligned to program goals.
Extensive hands-on experience leading large-scale ECC ? S/4HANA migrations spanning multiple domains (Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, HCM).
Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering/science (or equivalent).
10+ years delivering complex programs with large teams, budgets, and executive stakeholders; experience on transformations >$10M.
SME depth relevant to large ERP implementations; proven ability to navigate competing priorities and deadlines, maintain project artifacts, and present to executives.
Strong communicator with the ability to build trust across business and IT; advanced written and verbal English.
Proficient with Microsoft Visio, Excel, PowerPoint.
Experience in regulated and/or unionized environments.
Work on new product/process introductions during ERP transformations.
Experience working in Agile teams.
