Overview

POSITION: REGISTERED NURSE
Primary Site: Seaforth – Inpatient Unit
Status: Temporary Part-Time
Posting Date: June 11, 2025 • Posting #277-25 (ONA)

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will manage a mixed inpatient caseload including acute care, complex continuing care, cardiac monitoring and palliative care. Work is performed in an interdisciplinary team environment, including collaboration with community partners. The nurse will apply strong planning, organization and problem‑solving skills and maintain ongoing commitment to continuing education.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Current BLS certification

Experience

  • ACLS certification preferred, or willing to obtain within three (3) months of hire
  • Basic cardiac arrhythmia course (or equivalent) preferred, or willing to obtain within three (3) months of hire
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent related nursing experience preferred

Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated ability to manage a mixed inpatient caseload including acute care, complex continuing care cardiac monitoring and palliative
  • Demonstrated ability to work on an interdisciplinary team, including community partners
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, organize and problem solve
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing continuing education
  • Working knowledge of Meditech Information System and personal computer applications
  • Able to meet the physical demands of the position
