Kin’s Farm Market’s success depends on the knowledge, experience, and motivation of the people who work for us. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Clerk analyzes and records transactions, and enters them into the accounting software effectively and efficiently. Tasks include, but are not limited to, posting sales-related transactions and payroll, preparing bank reconciliations, reports, and other duties as assigned.

As an Accounting Clerk, you will:

• Perform accounting activities such as Point-of-Sales Matching and Reconciliation, Accounts Payable, Bank Transactions, Bookkeeping, and Reports.
• Assist the Financial Controller in checking financial status and preparing special reports as needed.
• Help other departments interpret accounting practices.
• Support the monthly financial close process by preparing relevant data for reporting.
• Participate in developing and establishing accounting policies and procedures.
• Support the Financial Controller during audits to ensure compliance and successful results.
• Proactively recommend procedural improvements and ensure adherence to company policies.
• Stay informed about legislation affecting accounting practices and enforce regulations accordingly.
• Work in accordance with Kin’s Farm Market’s Policies, Mission, and Culture.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

• At least one (1) year of experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains (“GP”).
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, administration, or a similar role.
• Diploma in Accounting.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Ability to multitask and handle various projects simultaneously.
• Ability to establish credibility across all organizational levels through communication, knowledge, and professionalism.
