A community support organization in Winnipeg seeks a full-time position for individuals to provide supportive services to Indigenous women. The role involves collaborating with a team to assist offenders in overcoming challenges linked to the justice system. Candidates are expected to have a background in human services or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and an understanding of Aboriginal culture. A Manitoba Driver’s License is required.
Position Type: TERM (6 Months), FULL-TIME (Wed – Sun, 12 pm – 8 pm), 40 HOURS/WEEK
Position Overview: Under the supervision and direction of the Operation Manager and in accordance with the Centre's philosophy, goals, standard practices, the incumbent functions as a member of the Eagle Women's Lodge team in providing supportive services designed to enable Indigenous women to achieve change and growth. The incumbent works with residents in mutual effort, to confront and overcome those conditions which contribute to the individuals’ negative interactions with the justice system.
