Overview

Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Registered Pharmacy Technician, Full-Time to join our team at Valupharm Drugs in Iqaluit, Nunavut.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and accurately transcribe verbal prescriptions from healthcare providers
  • Ensure patient safety through accurate and high-quality preparation and release of medications
  • Transfer prescriptions to and receive prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Process prescriptions by entering orders, counting, measuring, compounding, and packaging medications
  • Perform final checks on prepared prescriptions for accuracy and safety
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards
  • Oversee Pharmacy Assistants to ensure efficient and safe prescription filling
Qualifications
  • Licensed and in good standing with in any Canadian province that regulates pharmacy technicians
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a team environment
