A healthcare provider in British Columbia is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join their Primary Care team. This role involves delivering compassionate patient care, working in various clinical settings, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure client-centered care. We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team in Primary Care. In accordance with the established mission, vision, values and strategic priorities of Northern Health, the Registered Nurse (RN) will practice in Rural General practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) as well as within a patient- and family-centered care model. The RN practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of client care. Working in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, the RN ensures delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families respond to changing health care needs. The RN demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.
Rural community hospitals provide a wide range of services and, depending on location, may require the RN to be competent in multiple clinical settings. This job description addresses various scenarios where nurses are required to work in one or more areas requiring advanced training and experience.
Days, 08:15 to 16:45 (Rotating)
Primary Care Networks are partnerships between the Divisions of Family Practice representing BC's family physicians, the regional health authorities, the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA) and local community partners, along with other community providers such as nurse practitioners. All partners are working together in their local communities and collectively to redesign BC's primary and community care system so that it works better for patients and health-care providers.
