A regional health authority is seeking a motivated Registered Nurse to join their team at Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre. The successful candidate will provide direct nursing care to peri-operative patients, assessing their physical and psychological needs, managing documentation, and guiding staff as needed. Under the direction of the Operating room Head Nurse, the OR/P.A.R. nurse provides direct nursing care to the peri-operative patient according to established standards/policies and provides work direction to nursing and non-nursing staff as required. The OR/P.A.R. nurse assesses the physical and psychological needs; plans, implements, evaluates, and documents the nursing care for the patient during the peri-operative process, and the immediate post-operative period. Nursing responsibilities include scheduled on call responsibilities.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days - 07:00 to 15:00
Fort St. John Hospital and Health Centre has 44 Acute Care beds and 124 residential beds and is equipped to handle 22,000 ER visits per year.
