Position Summary

Do you have a passion for nursing? We have the position for you! We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication to delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at Dawson Creek & District Hospital.

Under the general direction of the OR/PACU Unit Manager, the OR/P.A.R. nurse provides direct nursing care to peri-operative patients according to established standards and policies, and provides work direction to nursing and non-nursing staff as required. The OR/P.A.R. nurse assesses physical and psychological needs, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care during the peri-operative process and immediate post-operative period. Call is required.

Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Monday to Friday, Days, 07:15 to 15:15

Dawson Creek and District Hospital is a full-service community hospital serving Dawson Creek and surrounding communities. It has 31 Acute Care beds and 15 regional adult psychiatric beds. Dawson Creek is the Orthopaedic Trauma and Surgical centre for the Northeast Region of BC. Services include:

Qualifications

  • Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN.
  • Current Level C CPR certification.
  • Post-graduate certificate in perioperative nursing or minimum one-year recent related experience.
