Your Opportunity:

The Registered Nurse works in the Acute Care and Emergency settings. Staff provide care to emergency patients and to acute medical inpatients. This combined unit fosters a strong collaborative team environment with Nurses, Physicians, Unit Clerks, and Health Care Aides. The rural generalist nurse provides care to a diverse cohort of patients. Unit-specific orientation is required prior to providing care. This position reports to the Unit Manager - Innisfail and supports two programs: Acute Care and Emergency. The RN is committed to open communication and respectful feedback with colleagues, care providers, patients, and families. The RN collaborates with a healthcare team to deliver comprehensive care, participating in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, working to their full scope of practice. This role offers opportunities for personal and professional development within various teams. Orientation includes online learning and buddy shifts.

Description:

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide range of nursing services to patients, families, communities, and populations, ensuring their safety and well-being. You will utilize nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making, while also teaching, counseling, and advocating for patients and families. You will support an integrated, holistic approach to patient care, health promotion, and maintenance. You will deliver safe, quality, patient- and family-centered care aligned with AHS's shared vision and values.

Note: Provisional Permit Holders shall be paid $35.87/hour - $43.82/hour. Upon registration as a Registered Nurse, pay adjusts to the applicable rate per AHS/UNA agreement. This posting closes at 23:59 MT on the deadline but may be filled earlier if a current employee from the unit expresses interest by the 5th calendar day after posting. If no interest is expressed, the vacancy will be filled per Article 14: Promotions, Transfers, and Vacancies. This posting may fill multiple identical vacancies due to the Trial of Modified Posting Provisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited nursing program

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in Acute Care/Emergency settings, including ED experience
  • Experience as a charge nurse
  • Certifications: Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation, Cardiac Arrest Management, ACLS, CTAS
  • Wound Care, IV Medication, CVAD, Blood Products knowledge
  • Ability to adapt, prioritize, delegate, and work long hours on your feet
