This position can be based out of one for the following cities : Vancouver, Victoria or Kelowna.

You will be responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the western regional sales team. The primary objective of the role is to maximize performance as measured by Revenue growth, Gross Margin and Utilization improvement, achieving EBITDA goals, and team member engagement and retention. You will additionally be responsible for improving overall sales force effectiveness and productivity, the development of new business opportunities and management of key customer relationships, and the ongoing recruitment and development of highly capable and engaged sales team members.

Your Daily Contribution & Impact

  • Responsible to recruit, develop and maintain a motivated and competent team, capable of achieving the Region’s sales goals
  • Creates a culture of success by driving performance management of direct reports through ongoing review and coaching of all sales activities
  • Elevates team performance by actively sharing knowledge, proposing ideas and contributing to team development
  • Ensures adherence to the Sales Governance and Sales Management Process (SMP)
  • Stays current with industry and competitive research and information to develop their team and to help them position Bumper to Bumper to support customer business objectives and initiatives.
  • Provides competitive intelligence to help CSMs and Regional Directors develop counter strategies that will neutralize competitive influence on the customer’s buying decisions.
  • Understands the overall strategic direction and portfolio and can assist sales teams in customizing solutions based on customer’s needs.
  • Contributes to enduring relationships at the highest levels of the customer’s organization; personally interacts with executives; establishes professional relationships and credibility with key business executives / contacts.
  • Acts as a point of escalation and collaborates with other functions to drive resolution of customer issues of high complexity, in support of customer requirements.
  • Supports the Talent Review process to ensure top talent is identified and effectively utilized in the organization.
  • Proactive in identifying and removing barriers to support team performance, ensuring individual and group excellence.
  • Challenges current ways of doing things (conventional practices), pursues ongoing process improvements, creates and evaluates new solutions. New solutions may be adopted nationally within Bumper to Bumper organization as a new business practice.
  • Ensures all HR policies and practices are adhered to.
  • Drives the annual budgeting and financial process ensuring adherence to margin guidelines
  • Responsible for accurately forecasting 30-60-90 day revenue and profit values.
  • Leads the professional development and training of the Regional Sales Force
  • Assist the Director of Sales Operations, along with the Vice President of Member Sales, with the development and implementation of the Regional sales plan
  • Consultation with both to set priorities and action plans to achieve objectives as set out in the Regional sales plan
  • Responsible for establishing sales budgets and customer territory lists for each Sales Representative in the Region
  • Ensure that customer growth, market share and EBITDA growth targets are met
  • Review monthly the progress to budget of each sales representative
  • Provide feedback and coaching, take corrective action as required to deal with performance gaps
  • Ensure company’s policies and standards of conduct are understood and adhered to
  • Liaison with the Top 50 customers / prospects within the Region
  • Works with Branch Managers, Customer Service Manager and Sales Representatives to ensure customer needs are met
  • Perform other Regional Sales Manager related duties as required by the organization
  • Expertise & Essential Skills

  • College diploma of Sales or Marketing minor;
  • 5-7 years of sales management experience;
  • Bilingual in French and English, written and oral communications;
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a team;
  • Proven ability to make own decisions as required within defined limits of the position
  • Demonstrate a high attention to detail, be extremely organized, the ability to multi-task, and exhibit superior communication skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and reports
  • Established track record of achieving revenue and profit targets
  • Exceptional client facing skills : ability to build trust, proven strengths in negotiation and dispute resolution, and ability to deliver service excellence to the customer

  • Local & National travel is expected to be up to 75% annually
