A prominent health organization in British Columbia is seeking a Casual Recreation Therapist to develop and implement therapeutic recreation programs. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy and a minimum of two years' experience. The Recreation Therapist is accountable to the Manager, Health Services and is responsible for creating a place of learning, healing and caring in accordance with the mission, values and goals of Fraser Health. The Recreation Therapist develops, administers, supervises and evaluates therapeutic recreation and social programs designed to meet the physical, social, emotional, cognitive and spiritual needs of the residents; conducts standardized individualized assessments of each resident and develops appropriate therapeutic recreationcare plans; supervises activity staff and monitors and evaluates volunteers.
Bachelor's Degree in Recreation Therapy, plus two years' recent, related experience. Eligible for membership in the B.C. Therapeutic Recreation Association.
