Quality Control Inspector

Kamloops, BC | Full-time | $37.03/hour

Dawson Construction is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to ensure that quality standards and procedures meet legislation and customer specifications.

This role is a vital part of Dawson Construction's Quality Control team, contributing to our Quality Management System (QMS). The successful candidate will collaborate effectively with internal and external customers, providing expert quality services. The position is based in Kamloops, BC, with travel across the province.

What Success Looks Like
  • Conducting and coordinating inspections of work activities
  • Generating daily reports on work completed and analyzing aggregates/asphalt
  • Maintaining accurate records in accordance with the QMS
  • Participating in process and procedure improvements
  • Managing incidents of non-conformance
  • Traveling regularly to various job sites
  • Communicating effectively with MoTI, stakeholders, crews, supervisors, and the public
  • Performing other related responsibilities
What You Bring
  • Engineering technologist designation or similar, with at least 5 years of road and maintenance or construction experience
  • Knowledge of MOTI specifications, MMCD, and ISO 9001:2015 standards
  • Strong leadership, managerial, and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
