Overview

Job Category: Fabrication Quality Assurance

Job Type: Full Time permanent

Job Location: Milverton Ontario

Wesbell is seeking a QA for our Milverton Ontario facility. This position is responsible for maintaining and improving our Quality Management System and checking that all steel that goes out the door meets Wesbell standards and matches drawings for customers’ specifications. They will ensure compliance with welding, holes, spacing, and layouts in the shop.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overseeing all steel that goes out the door is correct and matches drawings.
  • Work with parts going out and coming in from different vendors to make sure they are correct.
  • Organize weekly paperwork and material to ensure shipments to the galvanizer are done correcltly and efficiently.
  • Work with our QA leadhand in assisting anything needing checking or completion.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
  • Assessing the product specifications meet customer requirements.
  • Review and maintain a calibration system as necessary.
  • Maintain items and shop tools to ensure they conform to specs needed
Education
  • Minimum High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
Job Requirements & Experience
  • Steel fabrication/shop experience required. Compensation commensurate with experience.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of structural steel drawings, fabrication, and QA Process.
  • Experience in welding, utilization of equipment and overhead cranes is an asset.
  • Strong organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
  • Professional, team-player.
