The Opportunity:

Ensure that all bulk and finished goods are sampled, analyzed, tested and inspected according to established procedures, compendia and standard testing methods while under minimal supervision.The working hours for this role is from 7am - 3pm, Day Shift.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Prepare samples and analyze bulk and Finished Good samples and maintain required documentation and records of analysis.
  • Maintain and control all bulk and Finished Good standards or masters.
  • Perform instrumental and wet chemistry tasks, set up and operate lab instrumentation such as IR, pH meter, viscometer, convection oven, etc., if required by the test method
  • Perform general maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment according to established calibration program.
  • Troubleshoot instrumentation and method problems and recommend solutions.
  • Interpret and document all test results, calculations and observations and complete comprehensive reports as required.
  • Coordinate Out of Specs analytical test results to their superior, conduct investigation and complete OOS Analytical Test report.
  • Initiate NCR for non-conforming materials and distribute to concerned personnel; contact suppliers when required.
  • Maintain a detailed record of all test results and collect data for future specs establishment; initiate specs development and/or modification according to historical data.
  • Monitor inventory of lab supplies and reagents needed for analysis, and any consumable items for lab instruments.
  • Perform compatibility testing of new formulations and new packaging components.
  • Maintain compliance to all health and safety standards, SOP’s, GMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Preferably BSc in Chemistry
  • Excellent computer skills with a good knowledge of Excel
  • Detail oriented, exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work independently or within a team environment
  • Exercise good judgment on manufacturing decisions
