Your future role on our team

As a QA/QC specialist, you’ll play a key role in ensuring major engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) projects are delivered successfully. You’ll also work closely with project managers, project teams, suppliers, contractors and clients to ensure compliance with all quality requirements and standards.

  • Help develop and update project quality plans
  • Prepare and update project‑specific quality procedures and ensure compliance with project quality plans
  • Review quality plans and inspection and test plans from bidders, suppliers and subcontractors
  • Conduct internal and external quality audits, assessments and inspections
  • Ensure deliverables, equipment, materials and work meet standards and project quality plans
  • Perform quality audits on site and at supplier facilities
  • Manage non‑conformities and corrective actions
  • Provide training to personnel assigned to QA tasks
  • Coordinate knowledge sharing with colleagues to promote best practices in quality assurance

Summary of certifications and job requirements
  • Degree in engineering, construction management or quality management
  • From 5 to 10 years in the project execution phase of large projects
  • Experience in QA/QC on EPCM and heavy industrial projects

  • Advanced English skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in English‑speaking Canadian provinces and internationally; you may need to use English occasionally or daily, depending on current projects
  • Advanced French skills to facilitate collaboration with other BBA offices and/or clients in Québec
  • Asset: proficiency in ISO standards (ISO 9001‑2015)
  • Asset: certification in quality management, ASQ or Lean Six Sigma
