A leading global drilling services company is seeking a Purchasing Officer in Haileybury, ON. The role involves purchasing materials, managing order processes, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. Boart Longyear is a leading global supplier of drilling services, drilling equipment and performance tooling. It also has a substantial presence in aftermarket parts and service, energy, mine dewatering, oilsands exploration, and production drilling.
The Purchasing Officer purchases materials and services in direct support of ongoing drilling operations. This role reports to the Canada Supply Chain Manager. The incumbent will have full accountability for all purchasing and materials ordering of 3rd party and Boart Longyear manufactured product for Operational and Maintenance requirements, ensuring the business strategies and plans are delivered in the safest, most efficient and effective way. Key measurements of success include: cost reduction, order management, and on‑time delivery of goods and services.
The position is a full-time, 6‑month temporary contract based out of Haileybury, ON.
