A leading wood products company is seeking a Purchaser for their Grande Prairie facility. The role involves managing the procurement process, ensuring timely communication across teams, and negotiating with vendors. Ideal candidates will have at least five years of purchasing experience, preferable in an industrial setting, and strong leadership skills. At West Fraser Grande Prairie, the Purchaser is a crucial role responsible for the procurement of materials, commodities, supplies, equipment, and services for the GPR OSB facility. The Purchaser ensures purchasing activities for the facility are executed in an accurate and timely manner with effective communication to all stakeholders. The Purchaser collaborates with all on site departments including Management Team, Leaders in Production, Maintenance and Shipping. Externally the Purchaser will be engaged with various equipment & parts vendors, contractors, and other procurement peers within West Fraser. The Purchaser also promotes safe work behaviours within the Stores area.
