Your Role

The Property Accountant will manage the accounting of a portfolio of commercial and residential properties. He / She will be an essential part of the property management team. He / She will perform the day to day bookkeeping while maintaining a focus on property performance.

Main responsibilities
  • Perform full-cycle accounting, and data entry;
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual operating budgets for the properties;
  • Monthly financial reporting; including financial statements and variance analysis;
  • Accounts payable and receivable;
  • Bank reconciliation;
  • Preparation and coordination of year-end audit files, government audits;
  • Prepare various invoices for charge backs to clients / tenants, including the invoicing of additional rent adjustments for tenants, if applicable;
  • Prepare all property tax and mortgage review requirements
  • Any other task, as required.
Pre-Requisites
  • University degree in accounting, CPA designation, an asset;
  • 1 to 3 years accounting experience including at least 1 year in a commercial property management setting;
  • Bilingual;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong analytical skills;
  • Self-motivated and proactive;

Votre rôle

Le / La comptable sera responsable de la gestion comptable d'un portefolio de propriétés commerciales. Il / Elle sera un membre essential de l'équipe de gestion de propriété. Il / Elle exécutera les tâches quotidiennes de tenue de livres tout en veillant à la performance financière du portefolio.

Principales responsabilités
  • Exécuter le cycle comptable complet et l'entrée de données;
  • Collaborer à la préparation des budgets d'opérations annuels pour les propriétés;
  • Préparation des rapports financiers mensuels, incluant les états financiers et les analyses de variances;
  • Comptes payables et recevables;
  • Conciliation bancaire;
  • Préparation et coordination des fichiers d'audits de fin d'année et d'audits gouvernementaux;
  • Préparation des diverses factures et charges aux clients et locataires, incluant les charges additionnelles et ajustements, le cas échéant;
  • Préparation des rapports de taxes et des révisions d'exigences hypothécaires;
  • Toute autre tâche, au besoin.
Prérequis
  • Diplôme universitaire en comptabilité, détenir un titre CPA, un atout;
  • 1à 3 ans d'expérience comptable, incluant au moins 1 an dans un environnement de gestion immobilière;
  • Bilingue;
  • Excellente aptitude de communication verbale et écrite;
  • Fortes aptitudes analytiques;
  • Proactivité et autonomie;

Pay : $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
