Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Scheduler specializing in Primavera P6 to support a major pipeline infrastructure project through the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) phases, with a focus on schedule development, variance tracking, and data integration.

Must Have Skills
  • 5+ years of project scheduling experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (data transformation, XML imports / exports)
  • Experience managing complex schedules and performing schedule variance analysis
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to complex infrastructure projects
Nice To Have Skills
  • Familiarity with Tilos scheduling software
  • Knowledge of risk management and cost control practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field
  • Previous experience on pipeline, energy, utilities, or oil & gas projects
  • Proven ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary EPC teams
  • Experience on large-scale projects like Trans Mountain or Coastal GasLink
Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules in Primavera P6
  • Import / export data and manage data transformation using Excel
  • Align schedules with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and key milestones
  • Apply rolling wave planning techniques for future phases
  • Track and report schedule variance and performance metrics
  • Implement and manage schedule change control processes
  • Identify and resolve real-time scheduling issues, ensuring schedule integrity
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings to communicate schedule impacts
  • Collaborate across engineering, procurement, and construction teams
  • Support development and maintenance of scheduling templates
  • Operate independently while receiving guidance from the Lead Scheduler
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through lessons learned
