A Day in the life of a Project Manager at Pinchin

  • Manage Hazardous Materials/Indoor Environmental Quality projects throughout the region.
  • Maintain client relationships.
  • Market to new clients.
  • Oversee consulting projects, including assessments, contract preparation, and abatement work. Projects may be multi-disciplinary and involve more than one service line.
  • Supervise Project Technologists in their job functions when assigned directly by Team Leaders and Operations Managers.
  • Perform hazardous materials and air quality assessments and prepare assessment reports and management plans.
  • Provide microbial contamination consulting.
  • Conduct sampling and analysis.
  • Develop remediation plans.
  • Create mould management and prevention plans.
  • Implement infection control related to construction and maintenance in healthcare facilities.
  • Offer Legionella consulting and management plans.
  • Prepare contract documents for hazardous material abatement projects.
  • Take financial responsibility for assigned projects.
  • Train and mentor junior and intermediate staff, including reviewing their written work.
  • Maintain and enhance quality control within the group.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the yearly Business Plan.
  • Perform any other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time

What You Bring To The Pinchin Team

  • 3-5 years experience as a Project Technologist or Project Manager in hazardous materials or indoor environmental quality consulting
  • A degree, diploma, or certificate in Construction Technology, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or a Bachelor of Science or Applied Science
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and proof all written reports and correspondence.
  • Good spelling, grammar, and punctuation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage assigned staff during project-specific work.
  • Ability to write, edit, read, and understand specifications, drawings, reports, and RFP/RFQ documents.
  • Professional verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, insurance, and car are required.
  • Availability to travel
