A Day in the life of a Project Manager at Pinchin
- Manage Hazardous Materials/Indoor Environmental Quality projects throughout the region.
- Maintain client relationships.
- Market to new clients.
- Oversee consulting projects, including assessments, contract preparation, and abatement work. Projects may be multi-disciplinary and involve more than one service line.
- Supervise Project Technologists in their job functions when assigned directly by Team Leaders and Operations Managers.
- Perform hazardous materials and air quality assessments and prepare assessment reports and management plans.
- Provide microbial contamination consulting.
- Conduct sampling and analysis.
- Develop remediation plans.
- Create mould management and prevention plans.
- Implement infection control related to construction and maintenance in healthcare facilities.
- Offer Legionella consulting and management plans.
- Prepare contract documents for hazardous material abatement projects.
- Take financial responsibility for assigned projects.
- Train and mentor junior and intermediate staff, including reviewing their written work.
- Maintain and enhance quality control within the group.
- Assist in the development and implementation of the yearly Business Plan.
- Perform any other job-related duties that may be assigned from time to time
What You Bring To The Pinchin Team
- 3-5 years experience as a Project Technologist or Project Manager in hazardous materials or indoor environmental quality consulting
- A degree, diploma, or certificate in Construction Technology, Architectural Technology, Civil Engineering, or a Bachelor of Science or Applied Science
- Ability to read, comprehend, and proof all written reports and correspondence.
- Good spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to effectively manage assigned staff during project-specific work.
- Ability to write, edit, read, and understand specifications, drawings, reports, and RFP/RFQ documents.
- Professional verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license, insurance, and car are required.
- Availability to travel
