Position Overview

We are looking forapassionate and talentedProjectManagerwith interest, skills,and experience across a wide range of InfrastructureTechnologyprojects,andtosupport the delivery of projects that bring technology and business benefits to our clients.

ThePMis accountable for the overall execution of project processes and deliverables in-line with the projectstatement of workincluding planning, financial, communication, stakeholder, risk and issue, and scope management.Our ideal candidate will bea strongcommunicator andwill need to behighly organizedas they will be managing multiple projects.

They willassistwith recommendations to include details of resource requirements, dependencies, interdependencies, policy implicationspertaining tointernal/externalinfluencesand the methodology to be applied.Theyshould have working knowledge and experience of IT infrastructure projects. Resource must adhere to existing client and department policies, procedures, standards, guidelines and practices.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate withMicroserveinternal teams and our clients to develop a well-defined projectstatement of work (charter)that clearlystatesthe project’sobjectives, scope, assumptions, timeline, resource requirements, risks,benefitsand budget

  • Produceprojectplansin a timely mannerand manageschedule, estimate resource requirements, develop andmonitorwork plans and take corrective action for completion of project tasks

  • Responsible for the overallsuccessful delivery of projects for our clients and internal teams

  • Weekly reporting on project status against establishedobjectives, milestones,budgetand resources andfacilitatetracking and closure of issues and risks

  • Work with vendors and customers defining project requirements

  • Provide guidance to project resources inestablishingwork priorities and prompt delivery of project tasks

  • Plan,monitor,and manage project staffing and schedules withinMicroservesoftware (ConnectWise)and related tracking tools,liaising withmanagersfor staffing assignment, ensuringaccurateresource forecasting and allocation continues throughout the projectlife‑cycle

  • Manage theday to dayoperations and updates in real‑time with project teams both virtually(in MS Teams channels)and viaTeammeetings

  • Identifyand resolve project variances toscope,timeline, budget, and deliverables across multiple projects

  • Track and manage engagement to the SOW andmaintainproject financials across multiple large/high complexity projects

  • Frequently interact with senior level management at client site or withinMicroserve, which involves negotiating or influencing others on matters of significance

  • Assistwith the development of recommendations including providing details of resource requirements, dependencies, interdependencies, policy implicationspertaining tointernal/external influences and the methodology to be applied

  • Take responsibility for ongoing client satisfaction – manage peer‑level client relationships and overcome hurdles to ensure win‑win solutions

  • In collaboration with project sponsors, assess whether the project achieved stated outcomes andidentifyopportunities for improvement for future similar projects

  • Provide leadership andassistanceto business and project teams that require change management and communication support

  • Assistwith the development of recommendations including providing details of resource requirements, dependencies, interdependencies, policy implicationspertaining tointernal/external influences and the methodology to be applied

RequiredCompetencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to express complex technical concepts,issuesand ideas into various media; proposals, white papers,presentationsand architecture designs to a variety of audiences

  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of the IT field with proven leadership and communication skills

  • Ability to communicate and resolve complex project issues

  • Understanding of IT infrastructure and full cycle project experience

  • Ability to investigate highly complexand diverse issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends

  • Ability to establishpositive working relationships and lead clients and team members in a consulting environment

  • Communicates in clear, concise,and crisp messages to a variety of audiences that instigate appropriate actions

  • Effectively presents in a variety of formal and informal settings: one-on-one,smalland large groups, using a variety of presentation methods to sustain the audiences’ engagement

  • Establishes a collaborative approach to problem solving ensuring that solutions generated by the team are tested, documented,and proven

  • Be effective at managing multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities or conflict, meeting deadlines and working well under pressure, along with proven analytical and creative problem‑solving abilities

RequiredQualifications
  • 2 or more years of Project Management experience

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a college or university; OR equivalent experience and/or training in information technology/systems and/or operations management; OR equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training

  • Experience in delivering Information Technology / Information Systems Infrastructure projects in a mix of small, medium and enterprise environments is considered an asset

  • PMP or other Project Management certifications is considered an asset

  • ITIL certification is considered an asset

Compensation

AtMicroservewe aim to pay fairly alongside the various geographical location our employeesresidein across Canada. Therefore, our salary range for this role is between $65,000 to $95,000 per year with variable compensation component. The final salary offered will be based on a combination of your skills, experience, location, competenciesand internal pay equity.
