Job Overview
inCAN Developments is a well-established real estate development company operating in Ontario and British Columbia. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Project Coordinator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting project management efforts within the real estate construction industry. This position requires strong organizational skills, effective communication, and a solid understanding of construction processes and management software. The Project Coordinator will assist in coordinating project activities, ensuring that timelines are met, and facilitating communication among team members.
Duties
- Assist in managing the end-to-end development of projects, including securing various approvals such as Zoning Bylaw Amendments, Site Plan Agreements, Condominium Registrations, and Minor Variances.
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans and schedules.
- Assist in the preparation and review of project documentation, including drawings and schematics.
- Utilize construction management software such as Bluebeam for project tracking and reporting.
- Review and assess technical reports and drawings to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Conduct construction estimating to support budget planning and resource allocation.
- Maintain organized records of project progress, changes, and communications.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting minutes for project discussions.
- Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure adherence to deadlines.
- Facilitate communication between stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment on project goals.
- Provide full administrative support to the company executives, ensuring efficient daily operations, and assisting other colleagues when requested.
- Handle professional correspondence and communications on behalf of the President, ensuring the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
- Coordinate company events and special projects, including organizing large annual events like the yearly Holiday Luncheon (including vendor/entertainment booking).
- Maintain highly organized files, records, and documentation for easy access, ensuring seamless office operations.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline is required. Acceptable fields of study include, but are not limited to, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, or other related programs.
- Proficiency in drawing review and understanding of construction documents.
- Experience with construction estimating techniques is preferred.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of construction processes and best practices is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in project management or coordination within the construction industry is a plus.
- Proficiency in both Mandarin and English, with the ability to communicate effectively in professional and technical contexts.
