Job description

Compensation range: $45,000 to $50,000 and group benefits

Full-Time Hybrid role in Ottawa

Innovation 7 is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to work in a fast-paced Architectural and Engineering environment in the Nation's Capital.

i7 is a 100% First Nation-owned management consulting firm

Project Coordinator - General expected responsibilities

  1. You will directly report to a preferred client and be accountable for coordinating projects and ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.
  2. Actively follow up with stakeholders—this role requires someone proactive and not shy about chasing people.
  3. Preparing client presentations based on input from team members.
  4. Document control and organization in a Microsoft SharePoint environment.
  5. Taking and distributing meeting minutes both virtually and in-person.
  6. Formatting reports and packaging project deliverables.
  7. Assisting with project record-keeping and other administrative tasks as needed.
  8. File, organize and maintain all documents connected with the above-referenced tasks in a digital format.
  9. Maintain all electronic documents in a remote access environment.

Project Coordinator qualifications:

  1. MUST be able to attain Enhanced Reliability security clearance to begin work.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  3. Minimum 2 years' work experience in similar role.
  4. Experience in Architectural and Engineering work environment preferred.
  5. Must be highly responsible, accountable, and dependable.
  6. Exceptionally proficient with technology, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, Bluebeam, and other relevant tools.
  7. Must be tech-savvy with a solid understanding of modern tools and platforms.
  8. Ability to work and log in to our work environment remotely.
  9. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  10. Strong internet connection for virtual work.
  11. Fluency in French is an asset but not required.
  12. Comfortable presenting to teams and stakeholders.
  13. Able to thrive in a remote environment while maintaining consistent communication and coordination.
  14. Knowledge of engineering or architecture (mechanical/electrical) is a bonus but not required.
