Program QA Lead

Responsibilities
  • Develop, schedule, coordinate and execute test procedures of systems and software for multiple projects for system integration.
  • Work closely with program managers and QA leads across Scotia Digital labs to ensure overall project delivery from a quality engineering perspective.
  • Lead the analysis and translation of business requirements into test cases. Design and manage end‑to‑end testing activities for digital projects. Use your expertise in software development testing to provide customers with quality products that meet business and system requirements.
  • Identify obstacles or risks that may impact a project’s timeline or success and provide regular status updates to the Program manager. Keep the lines of communication open with stakeholders and elevate issues when necessary. Ensure that all test deliverables are received, approved, and aligned to your project’s timeline, budget and objectives.
  • Provide advice to your team, including ongoing feedback and support. Proactively identify any potential issues throughout all test phases and suggest possible improvements or enhancements.
  • Partner with development engineers during story and task breakdown to develop a test approach that effectively covers the functional and performance characteristics of a feature.
  • Effectively communicate status reports to management with analysis and next steps.
  • Become an SME on usage of the entire application suite, processes, workflows, etc.
  • Work with Engineering team management to improve the testing process.
  • Understand enterprise software design principles – architecture, design patterns, OOP.
  • Comfortably work in a self‑guided manner with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage your own time efficiently, without direct input or oversight.
Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience leading Quality Assurance teams on Tier 1 / 2 projects.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on testing experience with native mobile applications.
  • 2+ years of experience working with multiple Agile labs including senior management.
  • Strong collaborative mindset; you understand that inclusive teamwork transforms ideas into great outcomes.
  • Familiarity with test data management for complex systems.
  • Nice to have: 2+ years of experience working with financial applications.
