Job Purpose

If you are digital-savvy, creative self-starter who has a passion for integrating technology solutions into International Development programs and thrive on doing purposeful work that drives innovation, you may be the perfect fit to join World Vision Canada’s (WVC) dynamic Programs & Policy (P&P) team.

As Innovation Design, Digital & Technology Integration Lead, you will position WVC as a key player in the international development innovation space through digital, data and technology solutions and play a critical role in advancing the digital transformation of the Programs & Policy team. This hybrid role blends innovation incubation and digital & technology integration to strengthen WVC’s ability to secure and manage funding, enhance program efficiency, and amplify impact.

Working closely with the Director, Program Innovation, Enterprise Technology & Transformation (ETT), and other teams, you will champion innovation, technology adoption, and digital integration as well as strategic collaboration to scale WVC’s mission impact.

The successful candidate will have experience with International Program management and the work of development professionals but also have a strong interest and experience in digital and technology solutions.

Responsibilities

1. Digital, Data, and Technology Integration

  • Provide strategic leadership to WVC’s “Next Gen” Programs & Policy digital, data, and technology transformation, in partnership with P&P Leadership and ETT.
  • Serve as the key liaison between P&P, ETT, and technology consultants to align user needs, streamline processes, and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Lead the optimization of key processes leveraging AI tools, digital project management systems (DPMS), fundraising and engagement platforms (F&E), and data visualization tools.
  • Design and roll out project management dashboards and data pipelines to enhance performance monitoring and decision-making.
  • Support data integration and cleaning processes to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
  • Support the development of systems that improve grant opportunity pipelines and ensure seamless integration of digital tools in business development processes.
  • Assess and improve the efficiency of existing digital tools and processes in ongoing programs and collaborate with Program Managers to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
  • Work with Program Managers in Canada and FO to identify opportunities for digital innovation in programming.

2. Capacity Development and Learning

  • Document, analyze, and disseminate lessons learned from innovation, partnership, and digital integration initiatives.
  • Champion within P&P to build internal capacity and foster a culture of innovation.
  • Champion a vision for digital and technology solutions within WVC supported field programs including capturing and sharing the learnings of these.
  • Liaise with WVI on new digital solutions to support WVC’s programming and determine opportunities for integration.

VC as a Global Innovation Leader in Digital and Technology Integration

  • Actively represent WVC in global and domestic digital innovation forums, donor groups, and platforms within the World Vision Partnership and broader sector.
  • Map and engage in digital and technology innovation platforms that foster knowledge sharing, collaboration, and co-creation of development solutions.
  • Collaborate with program and design teams to assess operational viability of funding opportunities and digital and technology innovation requirements.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in international development, Community/Social Development, or a related field.
  • Additional training in technology management, Innovation, and Business and IT Integration desirable.

Experience

  • 7–10 years of experience in international development programming, with at least 5 years in project design, implementation, and management.
  • Demonstrated success in integrating digital and technology solutions in program management and resource acquisition.
  • Experience managing and analyzing large datasets, using data visualization tools, and optimizing business processes.
  • Proficiency in digital project management systems, CRM systems (e.g., F&E), and data visualization tools (e.g., Sisense, Power BI).
  • Experience applying AI tools to enhance efficiency and innovation.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and collaborative digital workflows.
