Professional Services Technical Consultant – Microsoft Security, Azure, and AI (Copilot)

This Role:

We are seeking an experienced Professional Services Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team. This individual will play a key role in delivering high-value consulting engagements focused on Microsoft Security solutions, Azure migrations, and Microsoft Copilot adoption. The SME will be responsible for design, architecture, and implementation, collaborating with clients and internal teams to ensure secure, scalable, and innovative solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and technical workshops with clients.
  • Design secure, scalable architectures leveraging Microsoft Security products (Defender, Entra ID, Sentinel, Purview, Intune, etc.) and Azure services.
  • Develop high-level and low-level designs aligned with industry best practices and client business goals.
  • Implementation & Delivery
    • Lead or support implementation of Azure migration projects, including re-hosting, re-platforming, and modernization workloads.
    • Implement and configure Microsoft Security solutions across cloud and hybrid environments.
    • Support Copilot enablement projects, including readiness assessments, integration, governance, and adoption strategies.
    • Optionally deliver Microsoft Fabric implementations for analytics and data integration projects.
  • Client Engagement
    • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing technical expertise and guidance during projects.
    • Collaborate with account executives, pre-sales architects, and project managers to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
    • Create technical documentation, knowledge transfer sessions, and adoption playbooks for client teams.
  • Thought Leadership
    • Stay current with Microsoft technology roadmaps, licensing models, and best practices.
    • Contribute to internal service development, packaged offerings, and repeatable delivery frameworks.
    • Mentor junior consultants and contribute to knowledge sharing across the Professional Services team.

Requirements & Skills

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Security solutions (Defender suite, Entra ID, Sentinel, Purview, Intune).
  • Proven expertise in Azure migration projects, covering assessment, design, and execution.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Copilot deployment models, governance, and adoption strategies.
  • Experience in technical professional services with direct client engagement.
  • Strong skills in architecture design, solution documentation, and presentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities with executive and technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel while maintaining high delivery quality.
  • Self-motivated with a passion for continuous learning and innovation in Microsoft’s evolving ecosystem.
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (data pipelines, governance, analytics integration) – an asset.

Preferred

  • Two or more Microsoft certifications such as SC-200, SC-300, SC-400, AZ-305, AZ-500, MS-102, or equivalent.
  • Prior consulting experience in a VAR, MSP, or systems integrator environment.
