Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Quebec is seeking an experienced Production Engineer to develop and oversee programs aimed at improving efficiency and productivity. The successful candidate will plan plant layouts, conduct studies on machinery, and evaluate industrial facilities. A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering is required, along with strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in English or French is mandatory.

Job description

Immiland Canada is actively seeking an experienced Production Engineer who can develop and oversee programs and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity.

We expect you to have deep know-how in production procedures. Ability to direct personnel towards maximum performance will set you apart as a leader. Decision-making and problem-solving will take up a great part of your day.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan and design plant layouts and facilities
  2. Study new machinery and facilities and recommend or select efficient combinations
  3. Develop flexible or integrated manufacturing systems and procedures
  4. Conduct studies and implement programs to determine optimum inventory levels for production and to allow optimum utilization of machinery, materials and resources
  5. Analyze costs of production
  6. Design, develop and conduct time studies and work simplification programs
  7. Determine human resource and skill requirements and develop training programs
  8. Develop performance standards, evaluation systems and wage and incentive programs
  9. Conduct studies of the reliability and performance of plant facilities and production or administrative systems
  10. Develop maintenance standards, schedules and programs
  11. Establish programs and conduct studies to enhance industrial health and safety or to identify and correct fire and other hazards
  12. Evaluate or assess industrial facilities
  13. Supervise technicians, technologists, analysts, administrative staff and other engineers
Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or in a related engineering discipline is required
