You’ve mastered the art of negotiation and procurement—and it shows! We’re looking for a bold, strategic thinker like you to join our Purchasing team at Soucy. In this essential role, you’ll be responsible for identifying strategic suppliers and managing key relationships, ensuring quality and continuity in our supply chain. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of Soucy by leading innovative initiatives and playing a pivotal role in our company’s growth and success.

In This Role, You Will

  • Work closely with production planners to ensure parts are available at the launch of manufacturing orders
  • Place orders for parts, goods, and products required for production based on predefined price lists
  • Rigorously follow up with suppliers, expedite delayed deliveries, and anticipate potential supply issues
  • Update and optimize procurement parameters in the ERP system (safety stock, rejections, lot sizes, etc.)
  • Manage all purchasing requests, from quotations to invoice payment
  • Participate in the annual negotiation of price lists, contracts, and terms and conditions to meet competitiveness goals in cost, lead time, and quality

With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:

  • BAC in operations management or DEC in industrial engineering or supply management with relevant experience
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in purchasing in a manufacturing or MRO environment
  • In-depth knowledge of ERP systems
  • Mastery of good business practices in procurement and continuous improvement
  • Bilingualism in French and English, spoken and written
  • Strong customer service skills
