A global leader in animal health is seeking a part-time Production Bird Care Technician for a 6-month contract in Guelph, Ontario. You will be responsible for inventory checks, cleaning facilities, maintaining bird care, and record keeping. Responsibilities

  • Perform weekly inventory checks of supplies.
  • Clean and sanitize production and animal facilities.
  • Maintain care of birds and their rooms.
  • Help inoculate birds and keep accurate records.

Responsibilities
  • Weekly inventory check of supplies
  • Clean and sanitize production and animal facilities
  • Maintenance and Care of birds and bird rooms
  • Order Feed and Supplies as needed
  • Help with the inoculation of birds
  • Detailed, accurate, concurrent, complete record keeping
  • Follows all safety procedures
  • Follows standard operation procedures and company policies
  • Feed and water all birds and record observations as set out
  • Control room temperature and humidity
  • Replace or clean vent filters
  • Clean and disinfect empty bird rooms
  • Record in Logbook when rooms cleaned and disinfected
  • Record daily temperature of all refrigerated units; report problems
  • Order Feed and Supplies as needed
