You'll establish the single source of truth that enables R&D leaders to make holistic, data-driven decisions across portfolio investments, project planning, and operational execution.

Working within the R&D Portfolio and Project Analytics team, you'll play a critical role in equipping decision-makers with timely, actionable insights. This unique opportunity allows you to implement innovative AI/ML concepts while collaborating with diverse vendors and key stakeholders across the organization.

Main Responsibilities:
Product Development & Delivery
  • Lead product development for one or more products in the operational analytics fabric from ideation to launch, focusing on cross-functional data integration and rich semantic layer development. Initial focus will be on the Portfolio 360 and/or KPI 360 products. Portfolio 360 will be the data layer that integrates all of relevant entities for Portfolio decision-making while KPI 360 will act as the single source for calculated KPIs, linking strategic and operational KPIs.
  • Play a pivotal role in establishing the R&D Operational Analytics Fabric as the single source of truth serving all analytic/GenAI/GenBI consumers, enabling R&D leaders to make holistic, data-driven decisions that is based on high quality, trusted data.
  • Facilitate business discussions and business process analysis for the purposes of identifying data product needs and delivering data integrations/data products.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to establish the necessary data governance:
    • Establish data owner/steward network to identify "data champions" to advocate colleagues on best data practices to increase utilization of data assets for portfolio/project decision-making.
    • Establish clear, measurable data quality standards (accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency) for the product.
    • Create and maintain a centralized repository of data definitions, business glossaries, and semantic standards for the product.
    • Partner with Master Data Management, Ontology, and Controlled Vocabulary initiatives to ensure interoperability and harmonization of data/metadata across key entities supporting portfolio/project analytics & reporting.
    • Establish data access policies to ensure secure, compliant data democratization.
    • Collaborate with data engineering teams to codify/automate all of the above
    • Identify and resolve functional data issues across datasets that prevent integration and/or analytics at scale.
  • Develop a detailed and executable product delivery plan and timeline across design, build, and run activities; lead the product through governance requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand R&D business needs, gather requirements, establish user stories, and define product features; Manage backlog refinement and drive features prioritization effort.
  • Communicate effectively across non-technical stakeholders, technical stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure the delivery of outcomes aligned to R&D business needs and valuedelivery.
  • Define, monitor, and analyze business and performance related product-level KPIs, reporting outcomes to team leadership and key collaborators.
  • Manage technology vendor relationships and partnership strategies.
  • Manage and keep up to date the allocated budget for the product development.
  • Triage operational demands against product roadmaps and delivery plans.
About You
  • Bachelor's degree with 3-5 years of experience in digital analytics or data product management.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical R&D business processes, particularly in project and portfolio management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conceptual data modelling, data integration, data governance, and semantic model/metadata management to build enterprise-grade data products.
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience defining and tracking business metrics, developing KPI frameworks, and creating business intelligence dashboards.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake, Google BigQuery, AWS RedShift), with additional knowledge of DBT, Python, or Informatica ETL considered a plus.
  • Excellence in agile methodologies, stakeholder management across technical and business teams, and data product design from concept to production deployment.
  • Experience implementing data quality management frameworks, data access policies, and governance standards in complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies including GenAI tools, prompt engineering, graph databases, and GraphQL to drive innovation in data products (preferred)
