Process Improvement Technician needed!

As a Process Improver, you’ll be the go-to technical expert driving optimization, standardization, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations for an automotive manufacturer in the Collingwood, ON area. You’ll support the final assembly line (packaging and inspection) teams by utilizing your impeccable communication to drive process improvement.

What You’ll Do
  • Collaborate across teams — communicate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering — to solve problems and sustain improvements.
  • Champion a safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor daily production performance and lead root cause analysis for technical or quality issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and product quality.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and train operators and supervisors.
  • Lead and execute continuous improvement and cost reduction projects using Lean and Six Sigma principles.
  • Analyze key performance data (OEE, scrap, downtime, cycle time) to uncover trends and drive action.
What You Bring
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills — you know how to lead through influence.
  • Proven experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis, statistical process control, and structured problem-solving frameworks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with MES systems is an asset.
  • A degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to provide off-shift or weekend support in a 24/7 operation if needed.
