A leading Canadian retailer in Ontario is seeking a Process Innovation Lead to drive modernization in packaging processes. The role involves leading cross-functional projects, mentoring team members, and implementing automation to enhance efficiency. What you’ll do

As part of our Owned Brand Product Development team, the Packaging department plays a critical role in ensuring our Owned Brand products stand out on the shelves. We are responsible for the development of Packaging files across over 30 Owned Brands, across more than 100 product categories at Canadian Tire Retail. We're looking for innovative, forward-thinking individuals to join us in modernizing our packaging processes to better serve our customers and improve our operational efficiency.
The Process Innovation Lead is a strategic and technical leader responsible for driving modernization and automation across our process operations. The first project this lead will be accountable for combines advanced packaging process expertise, workflow optimization, and technology integration to deliver innovative, efficient, and compliant packaging process solutions. You will lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor team members, and champion the adoption of automation, AI-driven workflows, and data analytics to transform packaging processes for scalability and sustainability.
Degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Graphic Design, or related field.
7+ years in packaging development, process optimization, or technical operations.
Proven leadership experience managing complex projects and driving automation initiatives.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, workflow software (Esko, Workfront), and automation tools.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
Proven leadership experience managing complex projects and mentoring teams.
Ability to influence stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Knowledge of sustainability practices and compliance automation.
Experience with AI-driven packaging workflows and digital transformation.

Our typical hiring range is between $64,000 and $106,000. Salary decisions are also dependent on other factors such as your experience, job-related knowledge, skills and competencies, market location, industry benchmarks, internal equity and other role-specific requirements.
