As the Platinum Chef at Tyax Lodge and Heliskiing, you will curate and deliver an elevated culinary program for guests seeking an uncompromising standard of excellence. Working within a private 9‑bedroom chalet, you will orchestrate every aspect of the culinary journey from pre‑arrival menu design to the flawless execution of refined, elegant dishes that reflect both global technique and regional inspiration. You will be cooking in front of guests in an open concept kitchen, providing an immersive and highly polished culinary experience. This role demands a chef with impeccable taste, creativity and precision, and someone who thrives on personalizing unforgettable dining experiences in an intimate, high‑touch hospitality environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, coordinate, and execute menus aligned with guest preference profiles, dietary requirements, and seasonal availability.
  • Prepare, cook, and artfully plate dishes to the highest standard, ensuring consistency, refinement, and an elevated guest experience.
  • Deliver engaging, professional, and seamless service while cooking in an open‑kitchen environment, embodying hospitality and confidence in every interaction.
  • Oversee provisioning and cost control, working together with our Executive Chef.
  • Maintain pristine kitchen conditions and ensure adherence to all Public Health, FoodSafe, and Integrated Pest Management protocols.
QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED
  • Completion of A Culinary Arts Diploma.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in high‑end, luxury kitchen environments and cooking for private groups.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and guest‑relation skills with a polished, approachable, and professional demeanor, essential for cooking in front of guests.
  • Outstanding time management, attention to detail, and the ability to excel in a fast‑paced, multi‑course service environment.
  • Food Safe level 1.
  • Flexible & Reliable. Must be willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends to support the needs of an exclusive guest program.
  • Must be a collaborative team player, as you will work alongside members of our kitchen team who will support you throughout service.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Will be required to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • May be required to lift up to 70lbs.
