Job summary

A leading equipment company in Winnipeg is seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to provide on-site services for heavy equipment. The successful candidate will perform scheduled preventive maintenance, ensure accurate reporting, and work well with customers. Trade experience is encouraged, and the role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. A valid driver's abstract is also required.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience operating, servicing, and/or maintaining agricultural, automotive, or heavy equipment.
  • Willing to work after-hours and/or participate in shift-work as required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all levels of PM services on a scheduled basis.
  • Identify and report additional items requiring follow-up service work.
  • Ensure accurate capture of PM service information.

Job description

Brandt is currently seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician for our Winnipeg location.

This individual will be responsible for completing on-site Preventive Maintenance services on commercial heavy equipment at customer sites utilizing state of the art technologies and a new purpose built truck.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Performing all levels of PM services on a scheduled basis in a professional manner
  • Identifying and reporting on additional items identified that require follow-up service work by a heavy duty technician
  • Ensuring the accurate capture and reporting of PM service checklist, inspection, and work order information for the benefit of customer reporting
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Skills
  • The successful candidate must be motivated, energetic, and have strong communication skills
  • Candidates must be willing to work after-hours and/or participate in shift-work as required to support customer needs
  • A recent driver’s abstract will be required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Required Experience
  • Must have experience operating, servicing, and/or maintaining agricultural, automotive, or heavy equipment
  • Candidates with trade experience to a second- or third-year apprentice level are encouraged to apply
  • Proven experience in contributing in a service-oriented environment working directly with customers and equipment operators are key assets
