Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Fort Nelson, Canada, is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker. The successful candidate will read engineering drawings, set up and operate CNC machines, and ensure quality control of machined parts. Applicants should have a high school diploma and a background in tool and die making, preferably through an apprenticeship. Experience with programming CNC tools is highly desirable. This full-time position requires 40 hours of work per week during daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Completion of secondary school is usually required.
• Completion of a four- or five-year tool and die making apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade.
• Tool and die maker trade certification is available but voluntary.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Set up, operate and maintain CNC machine tools.
• Verify machined parts for conformance to specifications.
