Job summary

A leading manufacturer of electrical solutions in Granby, Canada is seeking a designer to create transformer designs, prepare cost estimates, and assist in new product development. Preferred candidates will have a diploma related to electricity and at least one year of experience as a transformer designer. Strong proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical plans and project management skills are essential. Knowledge of SolidWorks and membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec are assets.

Functions

• Create various diagrams for transformer design.
• Prepare cost estimates based on the specifications.
• Act as a resource person for new product development.
• Prepare the technical design documentation.
• Check for raised system failures and ensure effective corrective measures are implemented.
• Convey the information to the 3D designer.

Skills

• Hold a diploma related to electricity
• Have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a designer of electrical transformers (mandatory)
• Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical plans
• Master English or French
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Problem-solving skills
• Be a member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (an asset)
• Have a good knowledge of SolidWorks software (an asset)
