Job summary

A leading plumbing and heating company in Toronto is seeking a full-time plumber. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing and repairing plumbing systems, must have a Red Seal Certificate, and be able to work flexible hours. The role requires on-site work with no remote options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
• Must be a Canadian citizen or authorized resident.
• Flexibility to work early mornings and on call.

Responsibilities

• Install domestic, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures.
• Repair plumbing systems and fixtures.
• Read blueprints to determine layout of plumbing systems.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
• Instruct apprentices
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size
