Plant Manager

Location: Windsor, Ontario

Compensation: $140,000 – $160,000 *Full compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.

Job Description:

Reporting to the COO and the President, the Plant Manager will have full responsibility for plant operations, including planning, execution, and performance across all departments.

The Plant Manager will oversee approximately 250+ non-unionized personnel across a two-three shift operation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee manufacturing and supply chain functions, including production, scheduling, materials management, shipping, maintenance, facilities, EHS, and quality compliance in a “job shop” type environment
  • Drive continuous improvement, cost reduction, lean manufacturing, safety, and productivity initiatives
  • Lead and motivate teams across all levels to exceed performance targets, focusing on delivery, quality, and resource optimization
  • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, organizational direction, and operational decision-making
  • Engage directly with customers, ensuring high satisfaction and strong relationship management
  • Develop both short- and long-term plans for staffing, equipment, and facility requirements
  • Monitor KPIs and operational metrics to ensure timely course correction and performance alignment
  • Support employee relations, conflict resolution, and team engagement
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including qualification and performance oversight

Qualifications:

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or similar
  • Five (5) to seven (7) years proven success in a Senior leadership (Plant Manager) role within a production manufacturing “job shop” environment
  • Ability to engage all levels of employees, providing true mentorship capabilities and the ability to build and lead the team toward company goals and objectives
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and supply chain processes is essential.
  • P&L ownership and financial planning & budgeting capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams effectively.
