Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Southwestern Ontario is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to efficiently install, maintain, and repair pipework. The ideal candidate has a relevant trade qualification and at least 3 years of experience, preferably in heavy industry. You'll work closely with a team of qualified tradespeople, ensuring that all work meets the client’s expectations and industry best practices, while fostering a safe workplace environment. This role may require working in remote locations.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years experience in pipe fitting, preferably in heavy industry.
  • Extensive fabrication, repair and maintenance experience required.
  • Current WA drivers’ license; HR License advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of pipework.
  • Ensure work is in accordance with industry best practices.

Our network of regional workshops support our clients to maximise the efficiency, productivity and safety of their operations.

The success of our operations is founded on a team based approach to projects and you will have the opportunity to work together with, and support a range of qualified tradespeople to be successful on all projects.

Responsibilities

As a Pipe Fitter you will be responsible for the efficient and effective installation, maintenance and repair of pipework to meet our client’s expectations. This would include the cutting, grooving, threading, bending and welding of small and large bore pipes.

You will also drive the maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace and ensure that all work is in accordance with industry best practice.

Skills and Experience
  • Relevant Pipe Fitter or Boilermaker trade qualification
  • At least 3 years experience in pipe fitting. Heavy industry with a background in mining preferred
  • Able to read piping, mechanical and structural drawings
  • Extensive fabrication, repair and maintenance experience
  • Relevant computer literacy
  • Ability to work in remote locations
  • Current WA drivers’ license. A HR License would be advantageous, although not essential
