Job description

We are hiring for a relief full-time Physiotherapist at the Kelowna General Hospital. This position is expected to run until the return of the current incumbent. This position primarily supports general and thoracic surgery, and acute medical. This position may float to other acute care units as needed. Working one in five weekends covering all acute care is a requirement of this position.

Days of Work: Rotating

Shift times: 07:30 – 15:30 and 08:00 – 16:00

About The Position

The Physiotherapist functions both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, delivering comprehensive physiotherapy services. These include assessment, treatment planning and implementation, program development, consultation, equipment prescription, and education for clients and/or their caregivers to support functional independence and optimize health outcomes.

In addition to clinical responsibilities, the Physiotherapist contributes to departmental and professional goals by participating in quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and educational activities. They also provide guidance and direction to the rehabilitation assistant working within the team.
