A community-focused pharmacy in Medicine Hat seeks a Pharmacy Technician to work under the supervision of a pharmacist. Reporting to the Pharmacy Manager, the Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist on Duty. The Pharmacy Technician performs technical duties, including preparing and processing prescriptions, directing the care of patients, and filling and checking prescriptions. They must also employ a high degree of direct patient contact, which is a crucial element in developing a strong patient experience and positive health outcomes.
The Provincial Regulatory Body limits duties that the Pharmacy Tech is authorized to perform, and the Pharmacy Tech must abide by such at all times.
