Job summary

A leading pharmacy provider in Ottawa seeks a Pharmacy Data Technician. You will utilize your expertise to accurately input prescriptions into the pharmacy's computer system and maintain patient records. Strong communication skills are essential for liaising with external partners and colleagues. Applicants should have excellent organization and time management skills, along with data entry proficiency. A degree in science or a pharmacy-related diploma is preferred, and knowledge of Kroll is an asset. This full-time role includes occasional shifts during weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Ability to commit to various shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays.
  • Knowledge of weekly dispensing in multi-dose packaging is a plus.
  • Previous work experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Retrieve faxed or electronic physician's orders.
  • Enter prescriptions into the patient's record.
  • Create and maintain patient profiles in the database.
  • Prepare prescription label printouts.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as required.
