Who You Are

We are looking for knowledgeable Level 2 personal lines brokers to work in our retail location on Kingsway, Burnaby in the Highgate Village Shopping Centre. As a Retail CSR, you have excellent communication skills, thrive in a busy and diverse work environment, enjoy pivoting between different tasks, are sales focused and strive to help your clients. You can capably and accurately present facts, choices, and useful advice, verbally and in writing, so that new and existing customers can make a confident and informed decision regarding their insurance needs.

  • Hold a Level 2 Insurance Broker licence in British Columbia.
  • At least 2-3 years experience in selling ICBC insurance
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel; Outlook), Policy Center; familiarity with EPICan asset
  • Affinity for helping others; enjoy being part of a team; are comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

What You’ll Do
Sales
  • Promptly follow up on walk in and company provided personal lines insurance leads through a variety of methods; motivated and willing to conduct in-person and telephone sales
  • Evaluate the insurance needs of clients and prospects (ensuring no gaps or lapses in coverage)
  • Regularly follow-up with all prospects
  • Work with a team to establish and achieve your sales targets and develop new business
  • Work to grow your department and increase the profitability of the company as a whole
Customer Service
  • Determine each client’s needs, extent of present coverage, and long-term needs to determine the best insurance products to meet their needs
  • Review applications, renewal requests, and endorsements for accuracy, ensuring they are compliant with underwriting guidelines
  • Calculate premiums and rates; apply payments and/or refunds
  • Complete the binding, invoicing, premium collection, and file documentation of assigned accounts
  • Process cancellations; proactively inquire and document reasons for cancellation
  • Keep in touch with policy holders for changes, updates, new options, or problems with their coverage
  • Consistently document activities and attach correspondences daily in Park’s broker management system
Autoplan
  • Assist walk in and telephone clients for Auto Plan and Private Auto carriers
  • Responsible for Autoplan renewals, new business, premium collection, cancellations and endorsements
  • Assistance in ICBC batching and any other duties the Branch Manager sees fit

  • 37.5 hours per week (Monday-Friday 9-5 or 10-6, plus some Saturdays)
