Job summary

An established biomedical organization based in Alberta is seeking a Payroll Supervisor to manage a team handling payroll across multiple APAC countries. Responsibilities include ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with regulations, and providing team guidance. Ideal candidates will have 5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory position. Competitive salary up to $6,000/month plus bonuses offered.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience including 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience managing payroll in multiple APAC countries.
  • Experience using major payroll systems.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of 4 payroll staff managing payroll across multiple APAC countries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate end-to-end payroll processing as per regulations and policies.
  • Review and validate monthly payroll calculations and statutory contributions.

Job Responsibilities
  • Supervise a team of 4 payroll staff managing payroll across multiple APAC countries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate end-to-end payroll processing in accordance with local regulations and company policies.
  • Review and validate monthly payroll calculations, statutory contributions, and year-end reporting across supported countries.
  • Liaise with internal departments (HR, Finance, Compliance) and external vendors or government bodies as needed.
  • Lead or support payroll-related audits and ensure compliance with SOX/internal audit requirements.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to the payroll team to ensure high performance and development.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, HR, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of payroll experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Proven experience managing payroll in multiple APAC countries
  • Experience using major payroll systems
